I can't help but feel bad for the citizens of New Hampshire and their Old Man (Who Used To Be) Of The Mountain. I mean, when it comes time to emblazen the back of their state quarter, they eschew the obvious "Live Free of Die" motto and instead slap an image of a venerable rock formation that has survived for thousands of years. And how does The Old Man repay them? Total structural collapse.

I know it's old news, but the gravity (hah! get it!) of the situation just hit me.
